My name is Nico, I enjoy breaking computers, watch cars running in circles and play videogames with my wife.
I've been in the industry for quite some time already, my journey began because at some point I found more fun building minecraft servers than playing the game itself. And slowly I built a passion about software development, and (with some help here and there) I ended up learning most of what I know by myself.
My whole life I've enjoyed the process of understanding how things work, and the process little Nico found that ended up sticking till present Nico is to break things until I know how and why they work.
This somehow made me passion driven, I live with passion and curiosity for things, so if you're looking for a brainstorming partner, feel free to reach out I'm always happy to talk with people that love what they do!
These days I'm obsessed with how networks actually work at the wire level — NAT traversal, packet flows, building tunnels and proxies. My north star is contributing to the infrastructure that makes the internet work.
What can you find here?
For some reason or another, I never dedicated the time to build this space for my own stuff. So in short terms, you're going to find a bit about Nico in this website.
If you stick for long enough you'll find about things I'm learning, knowledge I would like to share, music, and most likely a PDF or two that I find interesting, who knows, even some videos that I find funny as well!
In summary, this is a site I'm building mostly for myself, having said that, if you have any suggestion about an improvement, errata or idea for a post that you would like to see, send me an email here suggestions@jnfrati.dev.
